Glue Rubber and Plastics
Mister Glue will glue most plastics. On it's own it will not bond polypropylene or polyethylene. Epoxies can be used as well but for most applications a drop of Instant Glue will do the trick. It bonds more quickly without any messy mixing.
Glue Rubber To Plastic
In the photos below you can see us glue rubber to plastic . A rubber handled kitchen knife where the outside rubber section is glued to a plastic inner section. A couple of drops will normally suffice but in this case I wanted a seal around the base so that it was waterproof. Because of this I put a very tiny bit all around the base, slid the two pieces together and within about 2 seconds, I could not separate the two. It has since been through numerous washings.

Apply a very, very thin line around the base where you know the two surfaces will match up.
If the there is a tight fit, you can put a small drop of glue on the inside at another spot for insurance.

And there you go - glueing rubber to plastic - done like dinner!
The same could be done with rubber or plastic to metal or wood to metal.
Mister Glue is a cyanoacrylate glue - made for industrial purposes. It is much stronger then super glue or Krazy Glue and will not dry out in the bottle.
