Glue for Plastic

"I used it for a broken piece of hard plastic in a shower control interior supprt and it worked great. Thank you. John, Los Angeles, CA "

There are dozens of different plastics. Most hard plastics can be glued fairly easily.

Childrens toys: lego, dolls, any hard plastic action figures.

Household repairs: bathroom and kitchen plastics and pvc. From the handle on a microwave to the plastic plumbing pipes in your bathroom. A linoleum chip on the counter top.

Glue plastic to plastic by using a small amount of Mister Glue on one side only. Press the two sides firmly together. Hold for a few seconds. Set aside to fully cure. One does not need to do use any mechanical means of holding the pieces together. As long it is a hard plastic it should bond within a second or two. Often instantly. If some leaks out between the seams, leave it for a few minutes until it is no longer tacky. Then take a small sharp knife and scrape off the excess. If you wipe it with a cloth when wet it will smear and be very difficult to remove.

If you try to super glue plastic it may or many not last. Super glue contains solvents which make super glue go brittle. Also, super glue will not consistently bond plastic. Mister Glue is an industrial glue made in Germany that will glue almost anything to anything. And will not dry out in the bottle.

Many softer plastics cannot be glued: polyethylene and poloypropylene. These are generally very cheap plastics like those that are used to make plastic gax tanks.
