Acid Free Glue

You are going to need acid free glue for:

Scrapbooking
Crafts
Book binding

There are many different types of glues. Some are water based and some are solvent based. For scrapbooking or bookbinding one obviously does not want solvents. There are variations in water based glues as well. Depending on what you are using it for - ideally, you want a product that does not have too much water as when it evaporates the glue shrinks and you can get buckling and warping of the paper. If you are using a glue that is water soluble you also have the issue that in a very humid climate it can break down over time. Some glues, such as very starchy ones, can attract insects.

Some places to get good acid free adhesive:
Archival Tapes and Adhesives
Acid free glue from ScrapBook.com
Elmers has just about everything from Glue Sticks to buckets of glue of various types. They do have photo and craft glues that are acid free: Elmer's Glue

There are dozens of brands, some of which can be found at the above websites.

Acid free glue sticks are easy to use and have very little clean up. Great for photos and smaller decorative pieces. Not wise to use this type of glue for heavier applications. Great glue for scrapbooking.
