Mister Glue vs SuperGlue

Both super glue and Mister Glue are cyanoacrylates. The original super glue has been around since the late 1940's. It was discovered by accident and now has numerous forms. The Super Glue or Krazy Glue tube that you buy off the shelf at the hardware store or supermarket has some excellent applications but often has its drawbacks. Here is a quick comparison. Other sections of this website hold information on the history of cyanoacrylates in general or you can explore the uses of Mister Glue.

Super Glue or Krazy Glue

- often dries out in the tube or bottle
after one use

- once cured can discolor over time

- crystalizes and gets brittle after drying

- will melt neoprene or styrofoam

- not water resistant

- bonds skin

Mister Glue's Instant Glue

- can keep for years if kept refrigerated

- will remain clear even when glue has cured

- remains flexible after drying and curing

- no solvents so can be used to bond styrofoam
or neoprene and other foams.

- water proof - a repaired ceramic coffee mug
can be easily washed after repairing.

- as will Mister Glue - has even been used for
cuts and split heels and fingers.
